In the snap Britney cut a youthful figure as she appeared to turn back the time, but on the following day it was back to reality for the singer.
Out and about in the Thousand Oaks area of California on Tuesday, the 31-year-old was far removed from the super-polished picture she posted to the micro-blogging site.

Taking on the role of the busy parent, Britney was focused on taking her two boys to their gymnastics class, and showing her proud mother just what her grandkids - Sean, seven, and Jayden six - can do.
Attempting to conceal the bags under her peepers, the blonde displayed panda eyes due to her unfortunate choice of make-up.
But even the dark eye shadow couldn't disguise the fact that Britney is clearly quite worn out lately as she forced a smile for onlookers.
The singer was seen wearing a white blouse over a pale pink V-neck, black leggings and a long slouchy cardigan as she wore her hair down.
She completed her look with a pair statement earrings, fuchsia high top trainers and a slouchy pink leather bag as she held her sons' clothes in one hand.

On Tuesday Spears gave her Twitter fans a sneak peek of the leather sports-bra she wears in the new remix video foe her collaboration we, premiering this Friday on BET's 106 & Park.
'Here's a tiny taste. Bring The Action!' the pop star tweeted to her 23.8 million followers.
With her bottle-blonde locks slicked back into a massive ponytail, the Grammy winner struck a tough pose while clad in a backless, chain-lined Adidas jacket.
'It's turned up, amplified, maximized, screaming, shouting - I never thought that a remix could be this freaking crazy,' Will.i.am told MTV News.
'Remixes have always been important, but this one - it's so freaking fresh that we had to do a video for it. Usually a remix just comes and it's a part of the initial but, this one needed a freaking video.'
The club remix, produced by Hit-Boy, also features verses from guest rappers Waka Flocka Flame, Diddy, and Lil Wayne.
