The 31-year-old singer appeared to be going for a rock chick appearance as she stepped out with her mother Lynne, on what was her first Valentine's Day since splitting from fiancé Jason Trawick last month.

The mother and daughter duo then headed to Malibu where they spent the afternoon visiting friends.

She also wore bleached skinny jeans tucked into brown leather boots, and walked confidently despite the shoes’ platform.
Meanwhile Lynne cut a youthful figure in a houndstooth jacket over a brown camisole, jeans and grey wedged ankle boots.
Earlier in the day Britney shared the music video for the remix of her new single Scream and Shout on her Twitter page.

In response Britney’s spokesperson told TMZ: 'Britney 'It’s absolute B.S. Britney sang the song. Will.i.am wanted her for this song and she sang on it.'
